Registration for the training course "Wine and Grape Alcohol Tasting" has started!

Cost - 2085 GEL (payment in 3 stages)
Classes will be held three times a week, during non-working hours.

The program provides theoretical and practical training:

  • Tasting theory and practice;
  • Tasting organization;
  • Hospitality etiquette with wine and spirits;
  • Basic principles of mixing gastronomic products, dishes and drinks;
  • Aroma and color of wine;
  • Definition of fault and defect;
  • Faults of Wine  (microbiological diseases);
  • Descriptors and their identification;
  • Classification of wines and beverages of grape origin;
  • Wine vine varieties;
  • Technological features of production of different categories / types of wine, sparkling wine and alcoholic beverages;
  • Various viticulture of Georgia - tasting of white, pink, red, protected place of origin, qvevri red and amber wines made in the wine regions;
  • Tasting of sparkling wines and alcoholic beverages of grape origin (brandy, chacha);
  • Tasting of European (France, Italy, Spain) and New Wine Producing Countires (USA, Chile, New Zealand) wines.

During the training course:

  • 64 bottles of various high quality wines and spirits will be presented for tasting;
  • 3 practical lessons are devoted to practice on standard solutions;
  • 16 hands-on lessons are devoted to the practice of identifying wine zones. Real examples of wine with different faults and a set of model solutions are used in the teaching.

Practice:

  • Wine tasting shop "Reserve"
  • "Chateau Zegaani" - one of the oldest wine-producing cellars.

 

Registration for the program is available from January 24th until 11th of March(including) on the website: vet.emis.ge

The study will start on 15th of March.
